hey man, just an FYI. we've covered this lots of times, trust me i tried to open up a post about it, you need to do some custom fabbing so you can properly mount the caliper to the spindle while having it sit flush and proper on the rotor, also the 9" or so rotors are almost TO small for this swap, its not really worth your time unless you upgrade your rotors, and slave cylinder, because if you have these uber huge calipers on your little brake system and not enough pressure to make them work to their potential then you're losing out on the reason for this swap.
best bet man, upgrade your pads, rotors, fluid, maybe your slave cylinder?? and make sure your calipers are working properly and you should be fine.
hope this has helped.

ps. work on getting your car to be THAT fast where you need BIG brakes then you'll be good to go!
There's a few threads on it here and there. Basically, a guy in New Zealand did it, for his 323 rally car. I think he had to do a tiny bit of grinding on the spindle, and make an adapter for the lower bolt, and then he used custom wilwood hats to get the right offset. Sort of a PITA to go through. Personally, I'd rather just get some Wilwood 4-pistons, since they're smaller than the RX7 ones are, and will fit easier, and are less than 130 each. Might need a mounting bracket made, but then you could use nice cheap '03 protege rotors easily enough without having to go to the expense of custom hats and the extra work of bolting them to discs each time you change them... Plus you can get pretty much any pad material of any manufacturer for the wilwood calipers....
Come to think of it, I've got a couple pics from the guy who did it in NZ..
Just upgrade your stock stuff...and you will have MORE than enough braking power. Our Pro's don't weigh very much, and my setup has stopped me when I was going 110mph on a back stretch of a racetrack after I did it like 4 times before.......
Stock is actually really good for the most part. Although, even with HP+ pads, at Gingerman in October, I still had to lift early and brake lighter than I'd have liked to. We had 30-minute sessions, and I kept stepping it up a little, and I got some pretty majorly boiled fluid once (had to bleed) and then I had just fine pedal, but no stopping another time coming into turn 3 with no brakes was really really really um.. "exciting" I guess would be a word to use...
When my car only had the stock engine in it, I could wait to brake until the first marker at turn 11, and have no problems. There's no way in hell that I can do that now, I'd just end up turning my car into an accordion on the armco. I just cannot slow down from those speeds fast enough.
In the end, I just started staying out of 4th gear altogether, and was only holding 3rd close to redline. That was because my 4th to 3rd synchro was gone, but it helped the brakes out a lot. I was still passing up everyone. Nobody passed me all day.
I know on the Rod Millen Escort GT that was featured in the February 1991 Road and Track magazine had some sort of conversion using RX7 parts, but I don't know how to find that information, other than to maybe call RMM and see if anyone is willing to dig into their past and find out.
Reading the spec sheet, they use 16x7 rims, not 15's, so that might be necessary to clear the calipers the way they did it. Also, in the spec sheet, they say that the front and rear were BOTH vented rotors. So, there's obviously something done to the rear as well.
The ultimate dream for my car is to put all 4 ventilated discs , My idea is to machine some pieces to fit something like aspire , tercel or sentra discs and calipers in the back and something like
Something like what they did with this sentra
Ill love to go to a junkyard with my car and see what could fit out of any car .

Ok, so you wanna make your lightsabers. Yeehaw. Think about this though, when you make them...how are they going to be effective weapons? They are a melee weapon, requiring close range combat right? Well, say I've got a gun and I pop a cap in your ass way outside of the reach of your lightsaber blade....fat lot of good that did ya!
Proper balance and a good pad will go very far, use a high quality brake fluid like superblue if you plan to do track days. Unless you want it to just look better
I used some ATE super blue for a while. I got 2 cans of it, and used it in two cars, my wagon and my GT. I won't be buying it again. For the price, it's just not worth it. There wasn't very much difference in its ability to boil just like regular fluid does, at least in my applications.
And Jacob, I think you're probably right in thinking that RMM wouldn't use a wierd adapter. I thought I read somewhere that some machining was done, but I read that a long time ago on places that don't exist anymore...
