I remember seeing a page on cardomain.com of an S14 with ducts running to the front rotors from the front bumper. it looked pretty easy to do, and the guy didn't complain about it not working well on any occassion...:/

i believe VW corrado G60's had a similar setup to that which you describe.

as mentioned above, i was concerned about it possibly blowing water right on the brakes, so i was thinking of having it draw air from within the bumper, through a cheap cone filter. we'll see.

i remember seeing this before, the info i heard about this was that they were custom made rotors, from wilwood or brembo.... not modified honda ones

I remember reading this, and yes...they were honda front rotors. But the ammount of customization and precision that went into that project, made it seem like too much for pretty much any member of this club. o_O

it doesn't look all that difficult... just custom drill the rotors and make an extension arm for one of the places the caliper hooks up... i'm sure a good shop could do this

It was the pads unfortunately. For whatever reason after i bought my hawk pads i found out that a ex CEO or something along those lines said that something about the material on the pads they work great all the time then go out without warning once they get too hot. So AutoX is doable but fully running the car on a track or in your case a long probably hot AutoX day, they can just go out!

Those are NOT honda odyssey rotors. They are Wilwood custom-made hats with rotors attached.

How do I know? Because I asked Matthew Jensen from New Zealand, whose car that is in the photos. Look up Jensen Rallysport to find out more. Not a lot of info about the conversion, just a few pictures, but totally not Honda brakes.

you guys really ought to do some searches, you might find out some good information here and there, instead of basing your true facts off of a partial memory of a post awhile back....

And the hawk HP Plus pads work just fine on long track days. I use Hawks on my wagon, and at the Autobahn Country Club (3.56 miles, 21 turns) had Zero problems after an 8am to 6pm day of nonstop 30-minute sessions. I was using those pads to their potential though, and next year I think I'll go with a set of Hawk Blues, which take a bit more to heat up, but operate best at a higher heat range. do NOT use hawk blues or the like on the street, they'll just act like glazed pads and not grip at all, and you'll be in trouble. I haven't and won't try the HPS pads, as they're just the street-version of the pad that people can get to say they're running hawk pads, but never push the car enough to need them....

i went to the site in the link but it is just a home page. searched the site and no luck. i am very good at making things work and making an adaptor for the caliper is no big deal but the rotor issue is still questionable. whoever saw this write up would you copy the text and paste it here since you know where it is. that way we would have definitive proof for it. i saw another post had link for big brake kit but i can not see spending $900.00 + on it. more satisfying diy project.
This is our quest; as the tail lights fade into the distance let it not be the jeers of others that say we can not do what others have, but to let the whistle of the bov the whine of our turbo and the roar of our exhaust announce to those who may say it can not be done that we will not go quietly into the night we will not bow to mainstream but rather blow by them doing mach speed laughing our asses off and giving them the one sure sign( ) so that they will understand their place in life when it comes to doubting a driven individual who owns a Mazda BG with a boosted BP

An FYI. Several years ago there was a dude who did fc 4 pot calipers on his protege using re drilled honda (crv i believe) rotors. He was from south america though. I believe he posted on the old board. These guys aren't making **** up, they made a mistake, so get off your high horse.
