OEM is a pretty relative term, lol, there were alot of OEM transmissions bolted to BPs, and there's alot of possible combinations of OEM parts that can work pretty decent.

Most of the fastest Mazdas here use Kia Sephia transmissions(whit LSD or Welded) cause are stronger (can hold more abuse) and usually got less millage than 90-94 trannys.

kia trannies are really a f-series tranny but are better internals stock. i talked to CS about this. i am keeping my 5 g-series trannies in my gargae screw an f series!

kia's axels are as thick as the ones in a MX-3 V6 (kias equipped with a BP) the diff is different, same ratio though, and the tranny is g-series, and all kias with a bp have a header.
