    Road to 400whp. UPDATED! 7/13/07 Lots of pics

    Here are some pics of my new setup coming together, i'll post more pics here pretty soon as i go along. I will update with more pics later, sorry about the blurriness, no tr****. Hoping after i break in the new rings and bearings i'll be upping my boost to 18-20psi, which should put me around 375-400whp on STOCK BLOCK. I'm doing a full wire tuck and just finished on my HID retrofit with mercedes projectors as well, with a bunch of other new mods and parts. Enjoy and feel free to leave comments or suggestions.         haha, thanks Ryan. I'll snap some more pics today of all my parts and more of the engine bay. Whats wrong with my strut bar?!haha

          Damn jon. That's sexy. What turbo is that? Your not worried about any of the bottom end with hitting 400hp?

            Looks nice and clean. Did you just rebuild the bottom end with stock parts?

            Also what management are you running? And pics of those Merc lights, I really want to see how those turn out.

              no, i had some of the bottom end subzero cryo treated, should hold upwards of 25+ lbs of boost no problem, with a good tune of course. Bottom end is all oem parts besides the clevite rod bearings, arp head studs, 4 layer mls headgasket. I have a megasquirt 1v3, being used as a standalone. I'll snap some pics of my retrofit tonight, i love em, definitely the best investment besides my turbo of course, HID kits FTL! I'll post more pics here soon, you guys will like it.                   just the pistons and rods, wish i could of done the crank and block. It was cheap and proven results. Not like your standard cryo treating, nothing turns brittle or anything, good stuff. Subzero cryo FTW, hit me up if you need info. Peace!

                      what's the specs on that turbo? and your set-up?

                      im running a very simalar set-up as you, megasquirt with EDIS ,t3/t4,460cc,walbro FP,ect,ect forgot the specs on my turbo at this moment,but i will get them posted so we can compare.
                      im only running 10 psi right now cause need a better tune and some bigger injectors.car is sitting right now due to winter in WI.

                      keep us updated, and maybe you could send me your maps when your done , if im lucky.
                      also i like the cam gears painted too.

                        Ryan, sounds like a plan, send me those rods!

                        Other Ryan1, the specs on the turbo are : 57trim, .63a/r compressor, and .48ar turbine. I love it, i upgraded from a small t3, and lag is minimal...i spool at about 3200 and it holds all the way up to redline(8000rpm for me hehe) with way more room to go.

                        our setups are different (manifold, tuning, setup), so they will yield different results but i'll post all progress on this post, so keep checking in. I'd have no problem sharing maps with you except im on 550cc injectors. Peace!

                            i'd start seeing boost at about 3000 and hit full boost which was 8psi by like 3800k-4k. Things no joke, it was sexy scary. I wonder how long it'll take me to hit 18psi.

                              im running a miata ssautochrome fliped and braced e-manny, 38mm extrenal wastegate,(i will be mounting my W.G. to vent from all runner unlike now how im venting off only 1) gtx intake manny im going to get a gtr one this spring and planed on getting some 550's also and swap my n/a head onto my gtx motor, i have to dig up some old recipts from phinex turbo to get my spec on my turbo, i think my specs are the same except with a stage 3 wheel. 3 inch mandural all the way back.ect,ect
                              thanks i would love to see thous maps when your done,
                              i live in a small town in WI there are 2 dynos/tuners within a about 5 min to 45 mins from me , but i heard one is o.k. and the other tuner stinks. so i could try your maps and tune from there if i had to.
