Cost: After evaluating the open-diffs (which are virtually the same size as the Honda, skinnier but taller), the final product will be the same MSRP i.e $649.95. This applies to both the 26 Spline & 28 Spline (we will require at least 10 of the same fitment though to proceed)

Pre-Order: As promised at the start, we will only require a 50% deposit from you guys now, then the rest when complete. As you guys are first on the list, we will include free shipping, free diff bearings, free diff bolts (Jon - Need your measurements ) and no paypal fee, all for the lovely price of $649.95 ($325 now, $325 later. I'm gonna bump you guys for the 5 cents! haha :p )

Development Time: Samples have been analysed, preliminary mapping has started. All we need now are the deposits and we can go ahead and develop the prototype for Jon. This usually takes around a month or so. Final production time is around a month as well, but the start date on this will depend on Jon's confirmation after he's finished testing the prototype

Post-Production: If the "confirmed" list on the 1st page is indeed correct, I am happy to say that this won't just be a one-off run, but we will indeed be adding them to our catalog. You guys have shown the interest, we will follow up on our end of the deal

So, whenever you guys are ready (to pay my wages :p), please feel free to send me a pm :D

P.S Prototype development will start as soon as we hit the "10 confirmed buyers" mark, so after sending it in, please let Jon know so that he can update the list on the 1st page with PAID after your name.

if only I had 2k sitting around
I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

it is lightyears ahead of the MSP lsd... the MSP diff is an oem clutch type lsd with the same spider gear setup as a stock open diff. the mfactory lsd compares directly to the quaife. both are helical LSD's.

on honda tech someone asked "how does it compare to the quaife?"

they replied "Stronger material, revised tooth profile, lower cost."

Will it come with a ring gear?

well... idk, that clutch is pretty intense. i dont think adding the lsd would make you much more likely to break stuff.. itd just eliminate the weak spider gears from the equation. you'd probably break 3rd or 4th, or crack the case... or snap axles off the line lol

kia/v6 is the same thing... its just 28 spline instead of 26. you can put a kia diff in a BG 4 cyl gearbox and vise versa. but dont worry, if they only want to do one version i'm going to push for the 28 spline version because i feel theres a bigger market with probe/mx6 guys than with zx2 guys. for the BG using kia axles works just fine so either one will work. the zx2/spi escort is the only 26 spline car that you cant use the kia axles in.

it would not come with a ring gear, you'd have to drill out the rivets on your stock diff and re-use it, just as you would with the quaife.

Sweet - a proper LSD! I'd be interested except that I'm probably not tearing the tranny apart unless it blows up.

Right now, the only option is a kit made by ARP for about $150.

it should be a direct drop in for ANY g series tranny, including the v6. the factory diffs are interchangeable, so these would be as well.

as i said in the OP, i inquired about hardware as well. hopefully they can develop something that isnt so overpriced, but worst case we would have to use the ARP kit. bear in mind those bolts arent even included with the $1500 quaife...

havent heard anything else back yet, but it is the weekend. i'll keep you guys updated.
