Well I finally bought a digital camera, it's used but it'll work...

So here's the specs

She's a 1991 Mazda Protege LX that I purchased from Joseph (jitb37) in July 2009...then finally got my ass down there in October to dolly her back home.

This is the only picture I have of her before Joseph pulled the engine.



Here she is with the engine pulled, mixed with a few random shots.





Don't have any pictures from the trip...so there's not much to show there haha, sorry guys. Got her back and instantly moved all the disassembled parts up into my apartment...and Lily was parked ready for the winter....here's a pic of her as of today.



I'm living on the upper part of a house...clear view of her



She's kind of hidden, which is nice.



Next will just just be what i've collected for her....so more pics to come!

I have lots planned for Lily, and most of it will be taking place over the summer. The main goal to focus on is getting her through safety and emissions testing...but I do not plan on purchasing my low mileage BP engine until it's ready to be installed (comes with a 3 month warranty)

So until the snow is gone, I can't do much to it body wise...so collect parts


Familia garnish & matching tail lights, 323 grill and restored headlight lenses

Also have some fog lights for the front bumper i'll be working on...also LED spoiler and 93 EGT skirts!
This is from a 323...I plan on adding this to the Protege rear bumper, which will be "cut" and modified a bit to looks close to oem style.

Here's a front set of Suspension Technique lowering springs, supposed to be a 1" drop, not sure if i'm going to run those.


Using this kit for everything but the springs, which will be later on changed out for some 10" springs #300f and #200r so i'll still be able to maintain ride quality lol.


Here's my finished n/a intake manifold...can't show any port work since it has been "cut". The information is for paying members though Also plan on re-panting with some flat silver paint...

Once it's repainted, i'll show you a pics of how it looks with the modified rail:

It just has the 2ndary line chopped since I'm routing the fuel line behind the intake...like the EGTs are basically...i'll just have to snap a pic of my spare cylinder head with all the accessories installed...you'll see the wire tuck and how the rail looks installed!

Mx-6 Turbo console...has the Tray & Box levels matching blue color!!! It's about twice as tall as the Protege/323 rear console...so I can use it for an arm rest too.

Now that's SOME of the stuff i have haha, my living room is basically a store unit with a tv.

This is what my bedroom looks like!


Met up with Jon (sweatmeatz) about a month ago and bought a gtx turbo/manifold setup with a fmic setup.

Has a 2.5" downpipe off the cast elbow...I'm wanting to replace the cast elbow though.


It was used on his car, and was a bit dirty, not too bad tho...still i'm crazy about clean parts...so i dug in!

Decided to pull it apart so I could remove all casting flaws and polish the cast iron...it was horrible at first haha, much better now though!



This is it for now with the turbo stuff, just some goodies...the bypass valves are from a DSM and a 2JZ supra.

Here's some other misc stuff, also some f2t injectors that need a rebuild\

Yea you're telling me haha, it's going to keep getting bigger too...

Paint? She's going white again, not sure the exact color...maybe Crystal white pearl(sp?) the same color as the Mazda 3s. This summer she won't be painted...most of the body work should be done tho

ps/edit - Going to call Mazda and get some axle seals & throw out bearing tomorrow since i'm going with a Miata clutch, it has a higher holding capacity...but i'm pretty broke for right now haha, small things add up tho.

haha, yea i'll have more pics up once its made more progress.

sold my pacesetter headers to damkid today tho my 626 just needs an oem y-pipe...so i'm going to put this $$ towards the axle and seal that'll be picked up tomorrow hopefully

so my list til the engine is

-axle seals
-left axle
-gasket kit
-high build primer
-white paint?
-high gloss clear coat
-clutch kit
-flywheel resurface or light weight

so its not TOO bad

Well, after work i spent some time on the hotside and bp26 exhaust manifold, i used a dremel til 220 grit then hand handed for a while...not sure why the pics didn't turn out so well lol, oh well.

yea, im going to replace the IC to TB pipe since it has a couple rough bends...this one should fit ok, so it'll be used for mock up purposes, i'm just going with some 2.5" piping since thats the ID of the TB.

Chris...shhh don't tell anyone, i'll have more pics once i actually take it out of the closest haha.

Going to get axles seals today along with 4 cans of high build primer for the engine bay work that'll start once the snow is gone.
