I love crazy engine swaps!! Are you going to fab up a new rear suspension cross member and use the Corolla rear axle too? The 323 is great car for swaps due to its front and rear sub frame design and rwd/awd style transmission tunnel. This type of project would require a great deal of plasma cutting action with any other fwd car.Dominic Toretto rocks a MaZda and his cell phone number starts in "(323)"

It still needs lots of cutting (tunnel and rear).
Got some more work done on the jig.
I peered out from the castle window and looked over the splendor of ROTM county. Yes, twas' a much simpler time back then. Peasants would go about their postings, and I, the mod, would rule over them with an iron fist.

nice, I like it! That engine is made of pure awesome, by the way.
hey, how's the gas tank of that corolla? specifically, the filler neck, all the way down to where it bolts onto the tank? My corolla leaks there. but with a replacement neck/gasket, I could actually fill up the tank!
interested in perhaps divesting yourself of that part?
Are you keeping any of the mazda front suspension, or are you moving the whole crossmember/control arms/tension rods/steering rack/struts from the corolla? Are you staying with power steering?

oh boy lol. fyi dude it's one 12mm bolt on the bottom of the steering column (in the car) and you can pull the steering rack out since it's already unbolted from the subframe lol-Jack

Oh Jack, if I had trouble getting a steering rack out of the car, I'd be in WAAYY too deep.
The rack was removed with the subframe. You're looking at the Corolla subframe w/ steering rack. I'm going to see what needs to be done to adapt the steering down the line.
Sarge - I had a look at the fuel filler neck - this one doesn't bolt on. It's brazed/seamed together with the tank as a one piece unit (I didn't strip the fuel tank, it was sitting in the back seat when I bought the parts car).I peered out from the castle window and looked over the splendor of ROTM county.
