Grinded it all down, sandblasted it and sealed it (forgot to take a pic)...I'll let the paint dry and weld some new metal on there during the week...
Built my state of the art sandblasting room to sandblast all my engine bay parts...lol...it works well, got a bunch of engine bay parts sandblasted and painted, I'll take pics when they're dry...Last edited by Wilyb; 02-11-2012, 05:59 PM.91 GT- Li'l Bee (under construction)

The sales contract is finished with CT, they pulled it from their shelves. I was lucky to find some at one particular CT, bought a couple of extra bottles as the stuff became so hard to find. You can find it at Home Hardware but all I found were small spray bottles. They say they have the one litre bottles but I never found any.
The stuff works really well...I've used it before and posted pics on the 1st page of this thread91 GT- Li'l Bee (under construction)

Small stuff
While I'm waiting for my buddy to go pick up my box of goodies in NH, as I can't test fit the FE3 into the engine bay until I get the MX3 mount, I figure I would do some work on the body: get rid of effin' door dents from people parking next to my car, and deleting the passenger door lock since someone mangled it with a screwdriver trying to break into it...
I also started on the sound system, cut some holes into the interior moldings opposite the side view mirrors:91 GT- Li'l Bee (under construction)

Bitchin'!!
Today I had a choice of 2 jobs; either my GTR bumper or my GTR vents...Chose the vents...
I have 2 sets of vents. One set from CS which has no screening, no bolts and as I found out, not the same inside dimensions. There's a lip on the inside the OEM vents don't have...
I started by tracing a line down the centre of the hood, and a line across the hood 10" up from the front to use as a reference line. I then traced the shapes of the underneath of the hood where the vents were likely to go, onto the top of the hood using a chalk. I set the centre vent as far back as possible without it getting in the way of the hood supports/ribs underneath. Same for the side vents, I made sure they cleared the ribs closest to the centre, and cut the outside ones as they were going to be in the way.91 GT- Li'l Bee (under construction)
