I'm getting better at this!
So today I painted my GTR bumper cover... 2 coats of base coat and 2 good coats of clear...did a better job on this than I did on my hood and door...
I bought my HVLP paint gun at Princess Auto for about 40 bucks...A good gun sells for $600!
So all things considered, I'm happy with the results...I wonder how nice it would have turned out had I an expensive gun...91 GT- Li'l Bee (under construction)

Frigg I have hardly any time now to work on my GT now that I started back to work... gone all week, and weekends are tied up with doing chores and stuff around the house( wife works weekends). Anyways, today I'll try to get the K frame, x member and mounts installed so I can get the FE3 test fitted in the engine bay...test fit will probly go next weekend.
Didn't get a chance to grab that box last weekend either...GRRRRRR!!!
Oh and my Hella fogs came in... woot!!91 GT- Li'l Bee (under construction)

I installed the ZX2 K frame c/w MX3 steering rack last night. I was told I had to use the splined female piece that joined the rack to the column, but the one on the GT worked as well (as far as the splines were concerned anyways). They seemed to match in length as well. (They are adjustable). Nonetheless I used the MX3 piece since I had it...I may have to take the rack back off... the 2 rear x member bushings are still on the bolts and they look rusted on there pretty good...
Ryan, just making sure, as I test fit all this, i don't need to go as far as installing the axles, shocks, knuckles etc to ensure things are lined up all the way out, right?
Also, since I am using the MX3 rack and LCA's, which outer tie rods will I need to use? I think I read in your thread it was RX7's...what year RX7?91 GT- Li'l Bee (under construction)

i used Rx7 lower balljoints. which you may or may not have to use. you'll figure that out when you source axles
(H -box is totally different).
but no the mounts will line themselves up. minor tweaking might be needed depending if you have solid mounts/ETC but nothing extreme.---Has ClubProtege helped you in someway? show your support by Contributing--- Click Here---

Progress
Time is precious for me these days, being away from home all week. Couldn't get my hands on the hoist this weekend, but tweaking the subframe steering rack and lines etc filled my one day i had to work on things.
Cleaned every nut bolt and washer. Installed the MX3 LCA's with ss bushings, ( notice the MX3 LCA end link attachment points aren't there anymore), ZX2 sway bar (fits nice) with end links, MX3 rack with Pro GT hi pressure and return P/S lines.
Doesn't look like I did much but it took long enough. Next weekend, x member, mounts and hopefully test fit engine...91 GT- Li'l Bee (under construction)

Ryan, I assume that bracket on the passenger side needs to be widened to accommodate the MX3 Mount, correct? or do I just go out and get an MX3 bracket? do you know if the bolt holes line up in the Pro engine bay?
Right now I'm banging on it with a hammer ...91 GT- Li'l Bee (under construction)

Small update... didn't get much done this weekend...but it is progressing... I'm going to need to pull the engine from my GT parts car so I can use the mounts from it... all the good mounts are on my 91...I need to pull those and replace them with the ones from the parts car... You can see the MX3 mount on the engine (right side)...
Ryan pic attached of said clutch line...if I just bend it a bit I should be just fine...91 GT- Li'l Bee (under construction)

I figure the alternator will end up around here somewhere... it bows out there... I'm hoping I won't need to bang on it...Ryan I looked at your thread at around post 53, and so far it looks like I don't need to cut anything on the mount bracket or the cast on the MX3 mount...I should have taken a pic with the mount in the bracket... oh well...91 GT- Li'l Bee (under construction)
