It does matter which side of the rad the fan is on. If at all possible it should be behind it. Fans are more efficent as pullers then they are as pushers. Also your car moving can cool itself down. Having a fan on the front of the rad blocks the incoming air that would have naturally cooled the car down.

hmm, thats good to know, ill have to go move mine to the inside (facing torwards the engine bay)
i was also think by it being a puller and it being on the outside of the rad, doesnt that affect the cooler

Some aftermarket fans are reversable by changing the wires around, or removing the blade and turning it upside down and putting it back on. Sounds like you have a puller on the wrong side of the rad I would get a sheet of paper and see if it gets sucked into the rad or blown away from it. If the paper gets blown away from the rad you need to make some changes. All this talk of sucking and blowing has got me thinking about getting my Gurl friend some flowers.
