It does matter which side of the rad the fan is on. If at all possible it should be behind it. Fans are more efficent as pullers then they are as pushers. Also your car moving can cool itself down. Having a fan on the front of the rad blocks the incoming air that would have naturally cooled the car down.

hmm, thats good to know, ill have to go move mine to the inside (facing torwards the engine bay)
i was also think by it being a puller and it being on the outside of the rad, doesnt that affect the cooler

If the fan is a pusher it will be on the front of the rad pushing air though the core. If it is a puller it will be on the inside of the rad pulling the air though the core. Some aftermarket fans are reversable by changing the wires around, or removing the blade and turning it upside down and putting it back on. Sounds like you have a puller on the wrong side of the radOriginally posted by 4gethonda View Post

I been around for awhile. I had couple of mazdas one for them was ride of the month.
I'm not sure exactly whats the top hose is from but I hope my pictures help.
I think the other guy with v6 protege is from chitown.
