Turpro You're a beast
I know LOL
Had fun at the shop today. Read about a dude that used cloths line for templates for wiring and plumbing. Figured I would give it a try. I would do it again, it was really helpful. I used painters tape and cloths line to "plumb" the brakes. I labeled the lines and took them to the parts store. I laid all the cloths line on the floor and matched it up to real brake line. Three of the lines were metric on one side and standard on the other. The proportioning valve was standard and so was the brake line tee I bought. I bought all metric lines and cut and flared the standard fittings on one end of them. I made brackets for the adjustable proportioning valve and came up with a clever spot for it. It fit perfectly in one of the drain holes. (lucky)

I have short legs, so it will be pretty close to the front of the seat. It is located in the same place as in the Mustang. I "test drove" it in my daily driver 323 It appears to be out of harms way. (duct taped it in the hole in the floor and drove around the block) LOL. The only problem now is I had to look under my daily driver 323 a few time to understand and see where potential spacial conflicts would be. It is really, really scary under there

I just read the entire work log, you're doing excellent job!
Just giving you a tip. You know the brake lines has to be "equal lenght" (front to front and rear to rear) or the pressure in the break lines are going to be un-balanced. The car will turn right or left depending in wich line is the shorter when breaking very hard. But since you installed an adjustable proportionning valve I guest you knew that.
Good luck!!-1993 Familia GT-R, 3" stainless exaust, 0.100" oversize Supertech pistons, ported and polished head, "hemi" style combustion chamber, Supertech 1mm oversize valves, megasquirt, 880cc low-z, MSD HVC, custom SS ramhorn turbo manifold, GT3076R ar.63, 25psi, 3" SS custom exhaust. Soon to be MS3X, COP and 28psi!

Theory behind a proportioning valve:
At lower pressures, the prop valve effectively does nothing. At higher pressures, a piston separates the fluid at the inlet and outlet sides. No fluid flows through the valve. Therefore, the pressure locked into the system will remain constant at the preset (factory prop) or adjusted rate (as in an adjustable prop). Keep in mind the proportioning valve can be used to reduce brake line pressure, but will not increase it.Last edited by IMACHU2; 03-22-2010, 10:33 PM.Dominic Toretto rocks a MaZda and his cell phone number starts in "(323)"

doesn't matter on length like said above, thats why you always bleed the longest/furthest line from the master cylinder first.-Jack

Well, the only thing I can tell you is to do a performance test. The calipers won't receive the same pressure at the end and it's cause of the different length of the brake line. I can't argue more as I'm out of words, I speak french so I'm missing words.
Anyway, it's a huge project that grown at an awesome speed. Keep the tempo dude!

Pascal's Law
Pascal's Law states that, because fluids are virtually non-compressible, any force applied to a closed hydraulic system will be felt equally and instantly throughout the entire system.Dominic Toretto rocks a MaZda and his cell phone number starts in "(323)"

Haha so true, french is completely different when trying to give an explanation. I'm average with my french skills, and I know literal translations don't mean crap, almost twice the syllables, and explaining the smallest thing usually twice as long haha.-Jack
