        Merry christmas.

if you plan the ratios correct via a flow chart for the bigger turbo to what the VJ20/such can move you'll know when you need to stop pushing through the VJ20 & change over to strictly a larger turbo

personally i wouldn't run anything smaller then a VF turbo. the VJ20 coldside is WAY too small. and you'll need to find a bunch of divertion valves/ exhaust cutouts

perhaps this will also help you in your quest.....

I'd only be able to get about 300whp or so from the compound setup if I use the vj20 tho, because I'm 99% sure the diesel turbo will out flow the vj20 coldside and become a huuuuge bottle neck restriction at higher boost levels.
I say go with a supercharger-turbo compound setup! Instant response of supercharger, high end pull of turbo. and no restriction

that's pretty rad! I like the concept, thanks for the link. I can see how I could make that diverter/check valve work (well something that works on pressure, instead of vacuum).

Haha, naw I'm to fond of turbochargers. I've modified and driven SC cars, and they're not as fun lol.

But compound boosted ones might be better. But I think it would be pretty nice to have a powerband from idle to 7000+ rpm. And that's what the supercharger-turbocharger compund boost setup would have.

But i guess if you aren't a supercharger guy, then it isn't for you.

the vj-20 pulls hard from about 2,200 an on, so I can almost say it's instant lol. I only really notice it in 1st gear anyways, once I've shifted into 2nd, I'm sitting around 2,500rpm.

Have you ever ridden in a GTX powered car Brody?? I've scared the **** out of a lot of people with it so far lol, and it's only at max of 7.5psi in 4th

Hell my friend Trevor through I was a complete mad man when we went on our test drive...the guy won't get back into the car with me! HAHA. He asked to see what she had tho...lol...

Jack, you should take a ride in my Escort LOL It's fun. Not stupid crazy fast, but it's good fun! Jumps off the line pretty good, and I've upset a few drivers of more expensive vehicles already. I prefer it to my old 87 Subaru RX and 91 Legacy SS. Once I add the t3/t4, I think it'll move along all right. Simpler than that TT setup too.

that is true lol. I think my left axle is starting to go though, remember that weird squealing that comes from the left side when I move out of 1st gear or reverse....it's starting to feel like a clunk when I had to slam on the brakes yeterday...unless it's not related lol and I have a squealing noise and a clunk to figure out...lol...
