Alright. So with the new ignition coil, I was able to set the timing to 12deg and it started (without having to adjust timing). It was warm which may have helped, but we'll see in the morning. I drove it with the timing set correctly, and it was definitely not as fun as the demon possession aka too much advance. 12 deg was a lot of blow, not much go. But it's solved! I'm pissed I haven't replaced it yet, but oh well.... I'm happy... Nothing like going into a turn with the front tires slipping
I've always wanted a foglight grille.... But always have to settle...
I put some led fogs behind the grille and wired them into my foglight switch.
Jokers are bright.
I'm expecting some tranny issues at some point (clutch, etc)... But what I noticed is that when I floor it in 5th gear, engine revs, but the car doesn't follow. I'm gonna Google and search, but any insight?
if your going to change the clutch. i have 3 recommendations:
#1........Mfactory LSD - or - modified OEM MSP(diff pin welded) - or - OEM diff(diff pin welded)
#2........lightened factory flywheel (save ~2lbs rotational mass, yes it helps)
#3........either get a ebay cheapo 6 puck clutch setup XTD/XTR/etc. or fork out for a good spec full faced(MIBA) 3+ clutch setup.
under no circumstances do I recommend you bother to change the clutch without addressing the 1st item on the list.
by the sounds of it your clutch can't hold up under the load of 5th gear

Woohoo! [emoji573]
We welded up my exhaust today! We ended up making our own downpipe. So the GTX OEM downpipe will be listed for sale soon.
The trubendz kit worked really well. It didn't come with all the hangers, but came with barely enough.
Welded in a 30" magnaflow glasspack with a flowmaster 50 series muffler.
It's got some drone at idle and some at 75mph, but is pretty quiet. I can hear my turbo now and that's all I was going for.
Oh and it was 70 degrees or so today.
