Here's the deal, I can't seem to get my starter to kick on. Let me explain.
I initially had the starter that came on my motor installed, and I couldn't get it started with that one. I would hear the relay/solenoid click when i turned the ingition on, but when i turned the key all the way over to start the car, I got nothing.
So I swapped that starter with the one on my old engine(which i know works) and that didn't work either. Same Story.
The engine bay is getting power... we put a multi-meter to the fuse box and coil and you can actually hear power kicking on in the engine bay when you turn the ignition on. For whatever reason, I can't get the starter to turn. It has to be something between my ignition and my starter.
I was thinking perhaps the clutch switch. I checked my wiring and reconnected the splices of the clutch switch wires on the harness (GT to GTX, both brown and yellow) and they're connected well. No problems that I know of by the clutch pedal either.
so for whatever reason, something is killing the circuit between my ignition and starter, preventing it from kicking on and turning my engine over.
does anybody have any ideas here? I'm at a loss
