I went back to the dyno to see if the civic intake I purchased was worth any hp over the 3 inch weapon R intake I was previously using.
The shop I usually go to couldn't squeeze me in. So I went to the guy that dyno tunes my mustang.
Anyway we loaded the car on the dyno and made a pull, boy was I dissapointed only 136.58 hp and 122.78 tq. I showed the dyno operator what the car made the day before and i also told him about the intake change.
We decided to back off on the fuel pressure since the car had a smaller intake tube. After messing with that for a couple of pulls the best we could get out of the car was 139.49 hp and 123.32 tq.This was a considerable loss from the 142.3 hp 126.0 tq from the previous day.
I hate I didn't bring my 3inch intake tube with me so I slap it back on right there on the dyno .
I asked the dyno operator could the two dynos be that much different. But he said as long as the other guy was using a dynojet (which he was) the numbers shouldn't be that much off.
I guess my theory was grossly miscalculated.
But then I thought since It was 2 different days and two different dynos my information could somewhat be inconclusive.I dunno.
I guess the 2.5 intake isn't going to work on my motor, maybe it will work on some else's.
I do know this, I couldn't get home fast enough to take that thing off and put the car back the way it was.
Heres the dyno sheet for everyone to scrutinze.
