If you're only looking for 250-280 hp, then your stock bottom end is more than strong enough to hold that.

it would be cheaper to get the miata manifold and t3/t4 turbo then to try to find a gtx/gtr manifold turbo since its rare and only those turbos fit the oem manifolds

what are you gonna use for fuel management? I'm gonna order megasquirt on payday... see if I can get my car running with it naturally aspirated before I try and use it with a turbo setup

I highly doubt that an SAFC-2 is gonna be able to crank your fuel flow up enough to maintain 250-280 hp

By that point I'd go megasquirt (but I'm going megasquirt, and I'm N/A, so what do I know ) or maybe haltech.

Besides, for the PRICE of the SAFC-2 you can build a COUPLE megasquirts

Thats bull**** man, you'll be fine with the safc. You dont need that megasquirt or any standalone yet. You'll be fine, just make sure you get the safc properly tuned and 250 + hp should be no problem. Find an Safc from someone local and buy it off them, no need to buy it brand spankin new. If you have any questions let me know. []Deace

How much does an SAFC cost used? You can buy a brand new megasquirt kit for about $150 and it has way more tuning options.

the advantage of an AFC is how easy it is to setup and remove
