even the blocks are different.. not by much but they are... i have found that one of the bolt holes for the timing belt tensioners is casted differently... in the protege it bolts to the aluminum housing deal and in the miata it bolt goes through the housing into the block but on the protege block the it does not have the part of the block but this is minor but it is just something i thought i would ad to the conversation..

ok so this is what i have done to my car.... i have a mitsu te04h turbo miata header customized for a turbo... volvo intercooler, dsm bov, acufab adj. fuel pressure reg, stock injectors and maf, colder spark plugs narrowed gap, stock cat and 2.5" exhuast..... umm thats all that i can think of for now... pics coming soon
