    AHU: For 323 Owners..... Radiator

    A Heads Up,
for all the 323 owners who have yet to switch out the stingy 1.6 radiator, hurry up and do so ... get ur hands on a 1.8 bp radiator with the metal ends, it will hold more antifreeze, and is way more reliable..

I got mine from cablemirc, and ohhhh boy it is sweet. The 323, under the hood, seems to be much cooler...

    just a heads up guys.

Why would you put a bigger radiator into a car that doesn't have any sort of real heat production?

Hotter coolant = more power also, less coolant is less weight.

hence why I opted for my 1/2 sized civic rad... true its probably only 2-3 pounds or so less, but its less right?

Im still using the 1.6L rad, with the BP and does fine. In fact when I had the thermostat out it would go from heat soaked to cold in about a minute flat

For some reason the 323 Radiators seem to last less than the protege...why were they made this way? After mine cracked right underneath the cap, I had to drive the car 50 miles to the valley to get it fixed. Though...on the way there it got so hot the cap litterally was shot out and banged my hood a bit from the front. Then at the junkyard I opted for a rad from a protege than something like from a ford escort GT. Sure, it might fit and all...but the connections were in different places, and I needed a quick swap. So far, this one's been doing the stuff just right.
