    TB swapping?? 8V to 16V?

    OK So I was at the wreckers today and was looking for a TB for my 91 323 SOHC 8 Valve engine! well I decided to take a look at the 16V SOHC engine and I noticed that the TB inlet was bigger! So I removed bothe of them and put the 16V on the 8V and it bolts up fine and the flap doesnt hit! does anyone know if this will make a difference in performance bny using the bigger TB and if it will work??
    Fully kitted, Sparco seats, 17 inch AR rims, JDM parts to the MAX, Dropped 2 inchs, 10.1 inch MX3 GS big brake, Custom Copper paint, CF Hood, RESIDENT MAZDA PARTS GUY! I Work For Agincourt Mazda

    The flap moves without hitting anything? I always figured you would have to dremel/grind out the intake manifold port to allow more air through to make up for the more air the tb is letting though...but i guess if the flap is still good at full throttle you wont have to drill anything out.

    Performance wise im guessing if you adjust the idle correctly you should at least gain a LITTLE more hp. especially with that weak of an engine.

    stripped a/c

    1993 saab 9000cse turbo 5/spd
    Garrett TB-25, solenoid cut off at 17psi
    Gutted cat w/borla muffler
    Aero spec clutch (7k miles old)
    Running 5w20 full synthetic...(241,***)
    16inch Aero rims
    Aero Moldings
    Bridgestone Potenza 205/55VR16 91V - all 4

      16v SOHC TB for the 8v SOHC TB? That sounds like upgrading from a Ford Tempo to a Mercury Topaz....

            wow, maybe you should read my damn tb FAQ on my site >:O


            it says the b6 is 50mm and the b8 is 55mm.

            some bp's are 55 some are 60..60's being harder to find
