    Protege on 13´s rims...and proxes RA1

I live in Panamá (Central America) i have an LX 92 without cat conv. 2 1/4 exhaust system and RX7 VAF, timming at 18 degrees. and thats pretty all..when i run my proto, i feel that the slow gears of the car are First and second, but third gear is the strong one. what i am planing to do! i will use proxes RA1 tires threadwear 40 but on 13's rims...this will shorten the grear ratio and will make the third gear come faster...than if i use 14 inch wheels or 15!...both Proxes Ra1.

Thats my idea any coments about it? i am on budget, so if there is any help about "settings" used in a Nearly Stock car.. will be helpfull.
I have a Drag Race, these weekend.

It'll help a lot. RA1s have a lot of grip. But the RA1s really like heat, so do a big burnout.

I thought that the LX's had the 22V 14 calipers, which required a 14" rim? Or, I could just be displaying my ignorance again... Otherwise, I'd be throwing some 13x9's on my wagon and having a blast.....

You could probably find a 13" rim with an offset that would clear the calipers. I doubt the factory steelies would clear, but perhaps an after market wheel. For ****s and giggles I can try to put on my 13" steel wheels after I do the brake swap.

There are 13" wheels that will fit over the brakes. Keizers for example will fit. Joe Graves used to run them on his FSP Escort back a few years ago with great success.
