LOL...I'll get to the Protege in the summer when I have the RX7 on the road

The RX-7 is an 87 Turbo II. LOL just like every RX-7 out there...it needs a motor haha. So thats where my money will be going, into building a motor for it. I get the car today, so I'll post up some pics.

            Please no banning LOL

You might want to do some looking, I saw a picture of a foreign market BG 323 that HAD an f series in it stock. It was sold relateively recently in some other country (some 3rd world/less developed countries get older models much later). I can't remember where it was from for the life of me though.

Well either way....this F2T motor is going into my Protege for sure!!!

Heres a few quick pics of the new project
It has 130k on it and is one of the cleanest shells that I've ever come across...now to build a motor and to figure out what turbo to use on it....GT35R ?

The FE3 int he sephia, is the same just is detuned for emissions. i think the detuning is inthe head, and the ECU.

But if u already hve the F2Tmight as well blow it up or go with that. The mount locations on that motor are in the same region and close to the bp mounts. but might be some work. You wont be able to boost past 9lbs unlees u get the zombie chip with that motor, b/c the ecu has a fuel cut off @ 9lbs. i think its very doable.. .. DO IT!

My buddy who is helping me told me that I should just use the harness and whatever else from the MX-6 and get the chip for it....I'd rather just Megasquirt it and be done with it....no more MAF !!!

My brother runs 17-19psi on the F2T stock internals. In the early days I remember the 9psi fuel cut, which would kick in sparratically when floored during certain conditions, and often ruined the race or run. Once the fuel cut was removed, it was loads of fun.

Of course he is upgrading to the FE3 soon, but as a recent development he found a true FE3 built engine for $1500 with lots of extras, so he'll be selling the Kia FE3s.

Finally got the MX-6 to the shop today and started comparing it to the Protege.
YEAH, gonna need a some more cutting discs and more welding wire for the MIG LOL.

I'm going to drop the enitre front end out of the MX-6 shell and start doing some measuring.
I'll get some pics of the beast tomorrow!

I think the funniest part of this car is the full 3" exhaust on it that exists out just in front of the passenger side rear wheel

When I drove it to the shop, it would smoke the spare tire in 3rd gear on the Hwy at like 60km/h LOL...
