If i can get some adjustable cam gears for around $150 is it worth it? i have 10.5:1 compression pistons and will be getting the block overboard and dipped / p&p / kinfe edge and balance crank and rods .. and a few other stuff and hopefull a small quick spool turbo... so with all this will the cam gears give me much? or would my money be better spent on other stuff?

cam gears just move the power band around. It will add Hp but take away trq or vise versa.hello 4g63 nice to meet you

The cam gears are worth it if you shave the cylinder head and install some good exhaust like headers. Power increase is not given by just playing with them. What happens is when shaving the head or changing pistons the compression changes. The same thing happens when porting the head or doing some surgery on the intake manifold the cam gears will work. All the cam gears do is "CONTROL" when air gets in and out and how much time its going to be in your cylinder head. In all motor applications is good to achieve a vacuum effect opposed to force induction.Comment
