Is a B8-ME even able to take a turbo/ or proformance parts

    Is a B8-ME even able to take a turbo/ or proformance parts

    can this be done to a B8-ME. would it even be worth putting one on a B8. what can i do to a B8 proformance wize and what would be the proformance gains of adding proformance parts on the B8. if there is any. is the B8 even able of producing 140-200whp

    they've been turboed before.

    it's still more worthwhile to go with a bp

      just do a headswap. the B8 has the same bottom end as a BP. and if you swap a BP head onto it, it'll lower the compression which is a good thing for boost

      and while you're at it, port and polish the BP head, and souce out a gtx/gtr intake manifold so you dont have to splice your ecu for VICS

        that is more of the answer i was hoping for. but should i also find a G tranny insted of useing the F tranny. or will the F be fine.

          The F series transmission is weak. Get the G series.

              They just don't hold up like the G series do.

              They are known to blow up. I would just get the G series, especially if you're going to be making more power.

                i bought replacement cv joints and had them installed about a month and a half ago for it would those still work in the G tranny

                  unfortunately they wont madmax. totally different, you'll need a G series tranny, axles, clutch, flywheel...i think the shiftlinkage is the same, never really compared.

                    ah man i guess i will have to wait cause i dont want to blow money like that on somthing and get somthing else that wont work with them i guess i will have to keep stock then. man that suck's

                    BTW what would the F tranny hold up to with out hurting it. would it be able to hold 15-20 hp more then stock

                      yea, it should man, there's people here running BPs on an F series tranny that was in their 323. you should be able to run more than that, there's been one or 2 turboed SOHC's on this club.

                      like im sure if you do the headswap, it'll hold up fine, the clutch...might not?
