just wondering on how much of a gain can you get from the miata intake cam?

If it's the '94-'97, none. If it's a '99, I think it's what, 4-5whp? Can't use '00+ on our cars.
Better to just get a BP-05 exhaust cam from the junkyard and putting it in place of the intake cam(there's a whole proceedure to it, search the forums), which will net you 5-8+ whp depending on what else is done to your car.
