    Clutches

Hey I need a new clutch. So I was looking around the site for some basic clutch information, what brands are the best for the money, all that good stuff. Didn't really find anything. I was lookin on ebay for some protege clutch kits. Found this one here

    And this one

Any of you know about this clutch kit? Links/ideas/suggestions greatly appreciated. Sorry if I happened to miss "The" writeup on this. Still pretty new to this forum. Thanks.

Oh yea, I own a 94 Protege DX. All stock.

well i run a centerforce df and ya it works well but if i were to do it again id go with act. but in the same if your car is totally stock and your not planning on doing anything else get a oem style kit from like clutchmasters save yourself the cash. you dont need more holding power than what the stocker has if your whole car is stock.

Well I was just asking becuase we had a clutch put in about a year ago and its already slipping, it was a factory clutch kit. Cost around $450 to put in with parts included. I was looking for a better clutch because I dont want to have to put out $450 a year for a new clutch. I want something that will hold for a couple years. Thanks.

its organic... thus its not my flavor.. it could be the pp or the disc.. im just not too fond of the disc.

a properly driven car with a stock clutch and not beat on clutch should last between 80 to 150 thousand on avg.

Yeah, either something went wrong with the install, the parts were defective, or your mom rides the clutch.

ACT or SPEC clutches are the way to go.

So, what would be a good combination clutch?
I know the Centerforce DF is not that good especially w/ 140-170 crank hp.

I plan on buying the motor mount inserts 60A.
150 whp w/ the LX tranny.
                            Nitto street/drag radial.
