ok so i ran the ecu check a second time, and low and behold the o2 sensor code is gone, but looky looky here comes a code 41 outta NOWHERE.....

bad solenoid valve? wtf is a solenoid valve? would that negatively effect my mpg, cuz if not its staying broken...tired of piling money into fixing problems lol....

then again, thats what happens at 175k.

hehe I got 22MPG but that is a lot of boosting at 17psi to redline and running 10-11 A/Fs on 460ccs. Generally I see about 26MPG boosted

                        ive done:

                        fuel filter
                        air filter
                        plugs
                        wires
                        o2 sensor
                        injectors - cleaned
                        oil change
                        ditributor cap and rotor

my ecu is pulling a code 34 and 41..... my isc valve and my vics solenoid.....
idle only goes up 300rpm, not gonna do me outta 10mpg. the VICS only kicks in a WOT @5000rpm right? So i dont need that either.....for now cuz i never break 4000rpm.

so WTF is left? Timing? How much work does that entail? (This post has three questions. -thanks)

if the VICS solenoid is broken it could result in the butterfly's being open when they shouldn't be which will kill MPG

the reason your gettign such poor mileage is due to the fact you never rev it up. you probly have a nice carbon build up in your motor. 4k is where vics kicks in.

with my turbo lxe i saw 28 city mpg regularly, when i was predominantly highway i would see 30- 32 mpg... i have not done a strictly highway tank or strictly tank... so the hightway could be better and the city could be worse... but that was my average.

in my b8 autotragic protege i get no less than 25 generally 25-28mpg
