    Tach adapter for Msd Ignitions

I installed my Msd 6 btm ignition w/boost retard and Im having problems wiring up the tach adaptor. I was just curious if the ecu needs a feed cause the stock ignition isnt being used? or do I eliminate the feed to the ecu? Also the rpm signal on my Safc controller somtimes reads the rpms, why would this work and not the tach? gtxfamilia's car is the same way but he has a aftermarket tach.
I just want the stock tach to work with the ignition, otherwise I have to get a aftermarket tach.

This is the style of adapter that im going to install.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MSD-T...spagenameZWDVW

that the one, yes the ecu needs the rpm signal, it used it for multile things, all you neec to do is wire it inbetween the factory wires and the white and red wires of the msd. thats how I have mine hooked up and it works great

for the SAFC use the tach output of the MSD or after a while of running the SAFC will read 0RPM. I had this problem and once I used the tach output straight from the MSD to the SAFC it worked great.

I did that first and it maxed out the rpms on the safc. I will wire up the tach adapter tomorrow and we will see what happens.
