    Is the sohc mazda engine in a 92 DX an interference engine?

    the BP 1.8 dohc one isn't, so i'm gonna guess the 1.8 sohc isn't either, but can't tell ya for sure, float the valves or break a timing belt and tell us the results.

        Damn. That's just wrong. Lol.

        I've snapped 2 belts and had no problem with putting a new one on and going. But then again I have a dohc.

          My BF's B6 1.6 SOHC is NON interference so yeah basically all of the B series motors are NON interference!

              i dont think any one has tried, it, and it not really a good way to bring up compression on these motor, I would :

              A consult a good machinist if your dead set on the idea
