Mean Green, Simple Green, Super Clean, etc, degreasers. I did this on my Protege and it made a HUGE difference in appearence. Of course I was at work so the Super Clean was never ending and free, so I would just spray it on then hose it off, like 5 or more times.

You can take our your powersteering pump/lines/assembly and just loop the 2 lines at the steering rack together.
Yank out your a/c if you want, so that'll be the compressor/lines/ac rad. You can also take out your cruise control module/cable...umm...the charcoal canister system...relocate your battery to the trunk.
Also you can try a wire tuck. B-potent did that with his standalone...can't see a damn wire in the engine bay, looks so clean!
But that will get you a very empty engine bay. My EGT had all that stuff removed.

For a battery relocation you SHOULD run 0 gauge wire from your engine bay through your firewall @ the engine harness seal. Then under your carpet, under your back seats. Also use a 0 gauge ground wire. Secure the battery. Make sure everything is connected properly, and voila!

I only have pics of before i tore everything out. I only had my powersteering resevior tank and lines removed. I didn't actually yank of the pump and compressor until i replaced my engine.
