problem with fan

before i removed old engine/trans my fan worked fine after dropping in my lower mileage engine/trans fan don't work but will turn on when i push the a/c button could anyone help me?

also the wire on the back of the transmission near the shifter isn't hooked up because the clip is different

try disconnecting the electrical connection on the thermostate housing and see what happens.....
