wat version bp do u have 1st gen or 2nd gen on 2nd gen remember u have map sensor which is plugged on inlet tube and is near where ur stock air fliter box is located plus remember on if its a 2nd gen when changing to a cold air intake u need to unplug ground terminal so ecu resets to the new intake system its reading from

called the hemholz (something like that) resonator. you need it, you can't remove it without losing significant power. and you have a VAF, not a MAF.
No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.

there is a small (3/4"?) hose that connects between that black box and your idle air valve. thats why when you remove it the car idles like crap...

for that setup you'll have to cut the corner of the battery tray, move the radiator an inch towards the passenger side, and extend the vaf harness. The bend is from a honda accord coil air intake kit.

Question... How are you guys running MAF or MAP sensors?? i;ve been trying to find a way to run without a VAF for awhile now with no success. How about sharing the secret??

did you dyno the car though? i'm betting it makes less torque than it would have with the resonator box
