    MPV 11 inch Brake upgrade

Hi guys, I'm soon to be doing the MPV 11 inch brake upgrade on my car, my questions are on the specs of the hub spline count and size on the protege GT, verses the MPV's are they by any chance the same or is there another mazda that has the same spline count and size as the protege( maybe the MX-3)?

You are both right, the MPV has a 5 bolt set up, my hopes are to either use the MPV hubs and get the bolt patern re-drilled, or just re-size the baring areas onthe protege hubs to suit the larger baring of the MPV's.

Arent there already like 12 inch big brake kits for our cars?

They are like $1200, but I think they are still there.

What other options are there for bigger/better(is it even needed) brakes?

Well, maybe so, I've seen a number of different kits offered for our cars, but I'd rather no pay that much, three bills will be enough for what I want out of the braking system, the gt's are already pretty good, I'd just like a little more leverage to combat brake fade( which I havent yet experienced in this car).

Yeah, the guy that had done it told me that he had got a machine shop to resize the baring support areas on the Protege hubs, but I'd just like to know what are the diffences between the two, as i don't have a spare set of protege hubs, so if I can use the ones from the MPV and just redo the bolt patern from the 5 bolt to the 4x100 of our cars, it would be more convienient, and less down time.

scroll to the bottom. he used the mpv spindle, awd ball joint, vw disc. very custom, some fabbing. at that point, do the rx7 instead.
No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.

i really love the brakes, and clutch in the 3's.
its a shame it'd be so much work to stuff that into a 323.

i would if i could though
