Put the tire on and sit it on the ground then get a BIG cheater pipe for the breaker bar.

in gear, with someone holding the brake pedal down. cheater bar too.
No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.

That's how I do mine. Big ass breaker bar with a log pipes on the end and it pops off like butter. Also there's a little notch on the end that needs to be straigtened out. That has some strenth in holding that bolt in position. Good luck.

And just for your information, you're just removing an axle nut. The halfshaft is on the pass side in between the axle and tranni . To disconect the halfshaft from the axle you may need a 5lb sledge. That's what I had to do. You won't need to hit hard but you won't be able to just pull the 2 apart.

small flat blade screw driver and a hammer usually works for me, to get the knock down section bent back up. As for breaking the nut loose, you may have to get creative with making something to hold the hub still. Maybe something like an old steel wheel with a long pipe/bar welded to it, to push against the ground, or have one or two people stand on it. the axle nut on my AWD was a bitch, finally got it after a week of penetrating oil every day and a 5ft cheater tube on the breaker bar.

if worst comes to worst, you could take a torch to it. oxy/acetene torch on the right setting to just get it red hot will help break that sucker loose.

normally this isnt an option as it destroys the grease in the wheel bearing and CV joint... but since this is on a clip i'm guessing you wont be using those parts
