well i didnt have a ze in the pro, just a de...

i would think the bpt and the ze would be bout the same with the gas mileage.. stock for stock that is...could be wrong..

things considered money/time to install/daily driven in atl traffic which is RIDICULIOUS!!!!!!!!!

i think i would end up paying alil more for the bpt for the install. but with the ze i could get everything i need and put it in.

hmm. thats tough man, but id probably go with the bpt, or maybe just build a mild turbo setup for it. that'd be cheapest, you could make it reliable if you use the right stuff, and parts are really easy to come by for bps. i dont know that much about kl swaps, i just know i dont like how tight the engine bay is with one in there.

ur kidding me right? The engine bay is nowhere near cramped.I heard countless comments on how simple and bare the engine bay looked on my car and how it appeared stock.

jitb, go with the v6 swap. You were the main resource for me getting mine done and i know you want to do it again.I just sold my car but i know ill do another one this winter. If you need any help or advice let me know.

If you swapped it into an Escort, I can imagine the engine bay size being different than a Protege....I think that SouthCross meant the bay size in a Pro.....
You DO mean swapping into a Escort GT and not a Canadian Protege GT right?

yup, same size. only the mx3 has a larger engine bay, all BG's are the same.

bpt, maintainence will be easier because more room to work in the engine bay.

V6. I've always loved the sound of a good V6, and my buddies old probe was a blast to drive, with just the de. the ze would be even more fun. someday I'll see if I can match a kl block to my spare 4wd tranny, cause that's what I want eventually.

KL it. BPT has power and mileage, but the V6 has style.
No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.
