    High Gas consumption

Just intalled the BP in my 90 323, I am now getting 250km to a tank of gas instead of the 425 or so I was getting before. When the car is idle it's hunting, the rpm's don't stay at 800 they go from about 700-900. The exhaust smells like gas.

Also check the O2 sensor as well, and I am thinking the green two pin coolant sensor as well... do a quick ecu diag by jumping the ten and ground in the diagnostic box on the harness on the fire wall.. Count the check engine light flashes and that will tell you what going on by the codes... long light is ten, and quick light is one...

The check engine light isn't on right now, will that still work?

yeah. the ten/gnd jump makes the ecu output the errors it sees, even if the cel is off.
No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.
