    RPM Studder

    Hello friends. Well today i had something odd happen in the protege. When you hold the rpms up to about 2500 and it will cut and drop to 1500 then go back up to 2500 and repeat. It only does it at that one point, Everything else is fine. Any ideas.

      Good point. This is why i do a COMPLETE tuneup on any "new" car i buy before asking why this does that, etc. as 95% of the time its usually one of those silly parts during the tuneup that the last owner was a bit lazy to change often!

        She has new plugs, wires, and cap/rotor. Did all that when i got her.

          Fuel Filter? Air Filter? Those are also tuneup parts. At least the air filter is, the fuel filter is a SHOULD do but don't have to do. But i would!
