    High Idle

I recently swapped a SOHC motor out with a DOHC motor on a '91 Protege.
I attempted to use the same Mass Airflow Sensor from the SOHC motor on the DOHC motor. The motor would only idle and not accelerate. I was loaned one from an Escort GT and all worked fine. I had to give the Escort one back (car was sold) and found a used one for $25. I put it on and the car ran rough and wouldn't idle. I took it apart sections at a time and cleaned with carb cleaner. The car runs like a raped ape now.
My problem is this now.... It idles at least now but at about 1500 RPM. Did I screw anything up with the carb cleaner? How do you turn the idle down on these things ? Any help is appreciated.
