Whoa, I just listened to this clip and it sounds horrible. It doesn't sound like a CV joint to me, though. It's as if something is stuck on the axle/wheel and hitting the body. I have no idea what it could be. Is this an automatic? Is the noise that loud inside the car? Lug nuts, wheel bearings, brake caliper, I have no idea, sorry.

If you can't differentiate between brake and break, you should go back to school

it could be internal to the transmission then, when the diff self-destructed on my beater it made some rather "interesting" sounds... like exploding metallic death

That's the sound of a dying transmission. I bet if you drain the oil you'll find lots of metal chunks in it.

My 93 sohc protege is missing some sort of a bushing on one of poles. The problem is that there is no screw so I can't replace in. Any suggestions!!!

Same thing happened to my trans before my bpt swap. Clunk clunk, it would almost hop the front end off the ground is you turned the wheel with the clutch engaged at highway speeds.
