Ok, so i found a mx-3 in the wrecking yard last week and it has the 1.6 in it. First question is does the shifter and linkage all fit my car? (94 pro) And is the tranny a G series? if not is it the v-6 with the G series?

unless you have a pro GT the shifter SHOULD work it will be an F series trans but i'm not 100% sure it will be the same as an MX3 linkage. if you need an f- series linkage pm me

The linkages are interchangeable from MX(1.6) to Pro. The v6 Mx tranny has a different bell housing bolt pattern, but I think its a G-series.Comment

I also was reading the escort wagons came with the G series tranny. Is this true and if so what about that linkage set-up? will it work for my pro?1993 Protege GT

i dont think the wagons came with g-series transmissions. besides that linkage would be the same as a sedan or hatch version.1994 Escort LX Wagon

g and f series linkages are different.. they are about an inch different in length..Comment
