i'm planning on doing a rebuild when we learn to next year in school. currently i'm collecting all the pieces for a gtx swap.

what i'm wondering is, what do you guys think about putting all the stuff on the current motor and keeping it at 8psi until i do a rebuild?

I think it is ok...

If the engine is not burning oil, you do not hear excessive lifter sound etc, IMO I think it will be ok. Just go easy on it...

I think it is even better, because if you do too much stuff at once then it is harder to troubleshoot.

If you install the turbo and car runs fine now, but then after the rebuild something goes wrong... you know what I mean?

I like the conservative and see how things react and bevae instead of going all out crazy...

i would check for carbon build up on the pistons but otherwise boost that ****.
