jdm gtx dash heat light sensor

Does any one know where to find the sensor that is used to turn on the "JDM HEAT" dash light

I have looked before, but its been a few years. It is the only part of the gtx cluster in the Escort GT that doesnt work correctly.

No I think its in the exhuast. From what I understand it is a high temp thermo switch for the dash. A Warning indicator to tell you the car is to hot and you are running a risk of engine damage..

its a exhaust gas temp sensor, you might be able to source one from a rx7 as they have a similar sensor. But rotarys run a lot hotter than BP's so it might not be calibrated accurately for a BP
I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

FD's have them for sure but usually finding one used is hard since everything short of 7' behind the exhaust outlet melts. I think FC's use them too but cant be 100% sure. Why not use a EGT?

Mine was an exhaust gas temp sensor, located in the stock converter. I haven't actually put it back in to the new exhaust. Not sure what temp it comes on at, but obviously never has come on.

I remember that sensor from my front clip, but I for the life of me can't remember where I put it.

Dang, I found it this morning, but it wasn't actually there. It was just the catalytic converter, it had a little 2-bolt flange/tube in the inlet pipe that the sensor went into. No actual sensor though. I don't remember now if I actually had that sensor when I got my front clip, or if it was missing when I got it. In any case, I don't know where it would be, except maybe still connected to the front clip and just dangling. I'll try getting a look at it, might not be until tomorrow night though, with work and not being home.
