323 turbo question trans

I have a 1990 323 turbo 1.6 sohc whit a t3. My question can I change the the f series trans to a g series kia trans but using the same engine 1.6 sohc will it bolt to the engine thanks

it will bolt to the engine, yes.. but there is no 28 spline intermediate shaft that will bolt to the back of your block. there also is no full length 28 spline axle....

your best bet IMO is to get a protege/escort BP g series, and use the passenger side axle from a 97-01 escort LX (sohc, NOT the zx2). its a full length axle just like the passenger side axle on your f series, but it will fit a 26 spline g series.

you will also need to change out the clutch and flywheel to BP stuff when you do this swap.

thanks so I can go to a auto part or j-jard and buy the passenger side axle from a 97-01 escort LX (and what you min by 26 spline, f series is 26 and 28 g series) or AM I wrong can can I do

he might be able to use the current halfshaft bracket to his b6 block(assuming you have one even) & mix/match shafts to find something that'll work
