not sure if it applys to the 3 wire also, but looking up my 4 wire i got---->
Heater Resistance @ 68°F (20°C) Approx. 6 ohms
so id figure as it heats up it would raise the resistance, which in turn lets me think anything @ /above a 6 ohm resistor should work, you can find some at radioshack in the bins....92 protege lx-

power and ground for the heater, and then reference and ground for the ecu. just find maybe a 10-20 ohm resistor with a higher wattage value, as the heaters constantly run and itll get hot and fail faster with a 1/4 watt over a 10 watt..... try somthing like this maybe....
