    Soft clutch pedal

I got my engine back in the car the other night, and we bled the clutch afterwards. I know all of the air is out of the lines, and the slave works just fine, but the clutch feels really soft. Could the clutch master cylinder be bad?

I don't know for sure yet since I can't start it yet, but it moves the fork the full travel so I'd say yes it does.

did you switch to a different clutch than you had before? maybe it just has a lighter pedal..?

It's an aftermarket clutch with a stiffer pressure plate, so I don't think it would be softer.

I think the pedal was soft before too, but I've been driving my roommate's WRX lately so maybe it's just throwing off my frame of reference.

I needed to replace the master in my build because although the fork moved it didn't disengage.
