car injects fuel when vaf flap is opened

My car has been having a problem starting and Its really getting me mad now . If i open the vaf flap i can hear the fuel pump and the injectors injecting fuel into the head even if the key is on position, also i hear a relay to be clicking right next to the ECU. My boy was holding the vaf flap open while i started the car and it seemed to idle ok and u can rev it, i took one plug out at a time and i could tell the car was running on all 4 cylinders. Idk what to do i changed the vaf also and no good. If i try to start the car without holding that flap open it wont start, and if i do hold it open i can hear it injecting fuel. Also the exhaust isnt on fully like its has one stud thats on and i stuck a bolt in the other hole, and the 3rd hold is open, i can hear the ehaust leak when u let the revs drop. Also if i keep revving the motor as soon as it turns on, after a while u can see smoke coming from the exhaust piping and my friend said he saw what appeared to be fireballs to drip down from the cat area. Im really lost helppp lol

do you have a massive vacuum leak somewhere in the hose between the vaf and throttle body?

I just found out what was wrong with mine and it had a massive vaccum leak lol...the bov is under the vaf on my piping set up and I didn't see it till today but my retarded ass didn't put the snap ring on the bov good (hks ssq style) and it blowed the bov off the pipe no wonder it didn't wanna run right....but this just goes to show ya make sure you check the simplested things before getting agravated with it.............make sure all your vaccum lines are good and not dry rotted or have came off... make sure the hose coming from under the throttle body to the intake pipe is hooked up or not broke.....really sounds like a vaccum problem

I have a big crack in the hose that goes from the intake pipe to the vc. thats about it. i tried changing alt, no difference. we can kind of get the car to idle if we hold the flap open, then you can rev the engine with the tb. if you dont hold open the vaf flap the car will die. I understand that the vaf would tell how much fuel to dump into the car but is it supposed to be doing that while the motor isnt even on ?

            tape up that big crack

the fuel pump doesnt run until the vaf door opens. if you open it by hand, the pump will run. your fuel injectors will not but you may hear fuel flowing through the rail.

if the engine is sucking all its air through that big crack while cranking then the vaf door may not open far enough to turn the pump on.
