    ooookayy, pan/pump pickup interference?

Are there any differences 'tween various bp/bpt/gtr/ aluminum oilpans?
Cuz the one I've got here, modded and ready to go for this trans conversion, doesn't seem to allow the oilpump pickup tube enough clearance. I thought all the bp pans were the same, so we're doing some serious wtf here. Any ideas?

The Miata BP pans are not the same as any of the FWD oil pans IIRC.

for the fwd/awd bp theres 4 different pans, the n/a auto pan, the n/a stick pan, the gtx pan with the 1/2" or so nipple and the gtr with the 5/8 or so nipple.... im not even sure bout the miata ones ....

I haven't seen the issue myself yet but my engineer pal who's assembling sure is wondering what's up. I'm gonna bring my other pan up and see if there's any difference, but I don't think there is.
