So I was wondering why I couldnt bolt my block to my engine stand....

    Then I figured it out.

The bolts were hard as hell to turn and I knew something was wrong. The pitch was right but I forgot that the block hadnt of been mounted since it last came from the shop. Some of that nice gloss black paint is in the threads on the block.

Great. I can turn the bolt but they are super hard. I plan on getting paint thinner tomarrow and using Q tipes to wipe it around the threads which still have paint.

I will take some pics of the nice n clean block soon.
Block is almost done, cylinders are overboard for Weisco pistons, pro gram billet main caps have been line bored, and my chinese EDT rods have been machined to right specs. Everything has been balanced.

Just cut some slits into the end of a bolt with a dremel cut-off wheel, perpendicular to the threads. Poor man's thread chaser.

Nah that would mean taking out the hard work I already put into the bolts. Slowely but surley they will go in. That is what happens when you dont work on your block for months at a time.
