I'm trying to replace the passenger side CV axle on my 94 protege but am having a problem getting the cv axle out of the bracket that connects it to the joint driveshaft. I have the mazda manual and it says to use a pry bar but that is definitely not working. The mazda manual also shows a clip on the joint driveshaft and think that might be holding me up. It's a 94 manual with a BP05.

IF the axle is off the car and still connected to the halfshaft then just hit it with a hammer or mallet which every you feel necessary and it will come right off. If its still connected to the car you might need a chisel or something that you can hit into the axle to separate it from the halfshaft.Cincinnati, ohio Bengals for life
