    bpt with bp ecu

So I was talking with a Guy who had done the swap into his lx and he said that he just used his BP ecu and it ran fine. What are your thoughts on this?

Timing is the first thing that comes to mind. The NA ECU will pull more timing. If you use the search feature you'll see plenty of discussions about this topic

Oh thank you. Sorry I had used the search feature but hadn't come up with anything. Of corse I was using my phone to view the wedsite so maybe I missed something.

bad idea. in general you will run too rich with the ignition timing far too advanced under boost. you also run the risk of leaning out while in boost at high rpm.

true the fuel maps are far different and the bp ecu will add to much timing , essentially turning you engine into goo from detonation and excessive heat

Some people are like slinkies. They're not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
