GTR comes with high imp injectors. and they are 440 cc. if you really have the GTR motor the injectors will have an orange top. this is the biggest clue of a GTR. over a BPT. not saying your an idiot or anything just contributing. GTR and BPT are platforms of the BPZE. the best engine harness to use with a GTR is that harness. BP to B6 92 and 93 anyway have different fuel harness. so it will not work. and although a EGT harness would work there actually is a minor difference in the harnesses. EGT came with delphi fuel system where as BF cam with mitsu fuel systems. does not matter which you use but i prefer using mazda mazda. instead of mazda ford. i know mazda build the escort basically im just weird about that. put it this way would never put a ford escort badge or anything on my protege...if i had one.

Others have also confirmed this on the fordlaser forum

Read up on duty cycle and want they are rated to at maximum dutycycle. 80 to 85% at wot is what you would normally see. these were tested at 100% and higher dutycycle hence the reason for higher cc rating.

Brad, those figures.
Could it have to do with the fact that the bpt 360cc injector is tested at 100% duty cycle, and that 100% duty cycle is not wide open, say its open 90% of the time.
Just a thought
Thats right Josh, the ratings are probably based upon 85% or 90% duty as would be realistic in use and not 100% duty as per my measurements. I would have thought there was a standard upon which the duty was measured at for cc/min ratings but I cant find refrence on the net to it anywhere??
Cheers

Yes mate, i agree. The fact is there still rated at 550cc at 3 bar. All injectors when flow tested are pulsed at 100% duty cycle to determine their maximum flow rate. For example
Mitsubishi evo 4-9 injectors are rated at 560cc at 3 bar, 100% duty cycle. Therefore at 85% duty cycle, are rated 476cc.
All injector manufacturers pulse their injectors are 100% duty cycle to determine their flow rate and thats what is advertised, not at 80/85% duty cycle.

going to have to agree to disagree without testing with a gauge of some kind. the information im giving is information i found during research on the motor. at many accredited sites. so if you are correct on the pressure i would be ignorant to it. and the part about having higher with a gtr rail would only be true if the rail was a higher flow rail. which the only diff. other then injectors between a stock BP and GTR fuel system is the regulator. they look the same but are different part number. GTR has a bigger reg. so maybe true on the higher cc. either way other then getting accurate information on the fuel system so everyone knows it does not make a diff. know that it is **** load of fuel. and can handle alot more then what a GTR actually puts out. by the way does anyone need GTR injectors? i have some and willing to give up cheap maybe i should make a for sale thread just never got around to it. and sounds like a lot of work with the pic. and the site and ****. but then maybe my KLZE dropout would sell.

As far as i know Thereildeal on here is running a stock vj23 turbo on his gtr motor and had 325whp with megasquirt. I upped the injectors to something like 660cc injectors or something like that for safety. The Gtr motor is probably capable of 400hp crank in stock for with some nice management and some tuning. A guy on here using a air to water intercooler is running 350whp on a gtr motor stock turbo. So you can use up those 440cc injectors even 460cc on a stock gtr turbo.Cincinnati, ohio Bengals for life
